Pró Inclusion - National Association of Special Needs Education Teachers was created in Portugal July 2008 by a group of Special Education teachers. 
     For the development of this organization we need all the professionals.

What are our objectives?

Pro-Inclusão, the National Association of Teachers of Special Needs Education is a non-profit scientific and educational professional organization,

1 - Pro Inclusão 's mission is to support the training of primary teachers of Special Education in the search for standards of excellence and innovation in practice, research and policies, to promote a quality education within the values of inclusion of pupils with Special Needs Educational Needs. 

2 - The objectives of the Association: 

a) Enhance the career, promoting the values of inclusion, knowledge and competence of teachers committed to their own professional development. 

b) Promoting communication and cooperation between Special Needs Education teachers, promoting the identity and associational membership sense.
c) Promote training, information, knowledge and exchange of information, of Special Needs Education teachers, through publications, scientific meetings, training and dissemination of all types of initiatives in this area. 

d) Cooperate in the preparation and distribution of materials, techniques, procedures and resources in order to qualify the profession. 

e) To stimulate scientific research in the area of special needs education and encourage the practice and decision based on scientific knowledge. 

f) To develop projects and joint actions with similar national and international associations.

g) Promote collaboration with other professional groups in the area, as well as other community organizations, including parents associations.
h) To promote in a positive way the values of personal confidence and capability valorisation heading the person with special needs in the defence of their rights and citizenship. 

i) Promote institutional cooperation, particularly through protocols and partnerships with public and private organisations, providing counselling, assistance and technical and scientific information and also by participating as social partners in the definition of strategic lines for these areas.

Who can join in?

- Staff members can be Special Needs Education Teachers, with qualification for the exercise of that function (expertise), as it is regulated by legislation. 
- Also: institutions, researchers, trainers, teachers, or others with training and / or practice in the area of Special Needs Education, Inclusion or any educational area.

How to join in?

- Complete the form of membership and add 1 passport size photograph. 
- Pay € 35 for membership (includes 2009 payment, the professional magazine of the association and a conference discount). 
- Add confirmation of Bank Transfer (NIB: 003601069910004232974 Montepio) 
- Submit to the headquarters of the Association and wait for your membership card.
